Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, today we celebrate the most profound event in history - the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. These events were not random occurrences; they were the fulfillment of divine prophecy, confirming the truth of God’s Word spoken through the prophets, judges, and the Psalms.

Jesus Himself declared in Luke 24:44, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” His death and resurrection were the culmination of God’s great plan for our salvation.
Among the many miraculous signs surrounding Christ’s crucifixion, one stands out - the tearing of the temple veil. Matthew 27:51 states, “Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split.” This moment was a declaration from heaven itself: the separation between God and mankind had been removed!
In the days of the Old Covenant, the veil kept the presence of God behind a barrier, accessible only by the high priest through animal sacrifices. But God, through Jesus Christ, established a new covenant, one foretold in Jeremiah 31:31-32:
"Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord."
Christ’s resurrection sealed this covenant. No longer do we need earthly priests or sacrifices to approach God, for Jesus Himself became the bridge between heaven and earth! Through His victory, our access to the Father is complete.
Now, God does not dwell in temples made by human hands; He lives in us! His Spirit resides within every believer, as written in 1 Corinthians 6:19:
"Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?"
Through Christ’s sacrifice, true worship is no longer confined to rituals or physical locations, nor Animal Sacrifice. It is now a matter of the heart filled with the HolySpiritand Truth, as Jesus taught in John 4:24: "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."
So today, let us rejoice in our salvation! The veil has been torn, the barrier removed, and the presence of God dwells within us. We are no longer separated from our Creator!
Let us walk boldly in faith, worshiping Him with confidence, knowing that through Jesus, we are redeemed, restored, and forever in His presence!
