About Jesus Christ

At Word Power Ministries, we boldly proclaim that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior—the promised Messiah foretold by the prophets, revealed in the fullness of time, and confirmed by signs, wonders, and fulfilled Scripture. This foundational truth is not merely a doctrinal statement, it is the heartbeat of our ministry, the anchor of our hope, and the invitation we extend to every seeker of truth.

We believe and proclaim that: Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. He is the Son of God, born of a virgin, crucified for our sins, risen in power, and reigning in glory. He is the fulfillment of every messianic prophecy, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29), and the only way to eternal life (John 14:6).

Jesus Is the Savior, Lord, and Messiah

If you’ve ever questioned whether Jesus is truly the Savior, you’re not alone. Scripture shows that even prophets sought clarity. What matters is where you turn for answers. The Bible invites us to examine the signs, the prophecies, and the life of Jesus. He Himself said, “Blessed is the one who is not offended by Me” (Luke 7:23). That blessing is available to all who seek Him with open hearts. From His miraculous birth to His powerful ministry, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection, Jesus fulfilled every messianic prophecy. He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29). He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). He is the Messiah foretold by prophets and confirmed by signs. If you’re searching for truth, let Scripture guide you. Jesus is not just a historical figure, He is the living Savior who invites you into eternal life. Believe in Him, and you will find not only answers, but peace, purpose, and salvation.

Born of a Virgin

The prophet Isaiah declared: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel.” — Isaiah 7:14.

This was fulfilled in the miraculous birth of Jesus through Mary (Matthew 1:22–23), marking Him as divinely conceived and set apart as the Savior.

Born in Bethlehem

Micah prophesied: “Out of you, Bethlehem Ephrathah… will come for Me One who will be ruler over Israel.” — Micah 5:2

Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem (Matthew 2:6) fulfilled this ancient promise, affirming His identity as the eternal King.

The Massacre of Innocents

Herod’s attempt to kill the newborn King led to the tragic death of children two years and under, a fulfillment of Jeremiah’s prophecy: “Rachel weeping for her children… because they are no more.”  Jeremiah 31:15; Matthew 2:16–18.

This event underscores the spiritual warfare surrounding Jesus’ arrival and the enemy’s fear of God’s redemptive plan.

John the Baptist: The Forerunner in Elijah’s Spirit

Before Jesus began His public ministry, God sent John the Baptist to prepare the way. The angel Gabriel told Zechariah: “He will go on before the Lord in the spirit and power of Elijah.” Luke 1:17.

This fulfilled Malachi’s prophecy: “I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.” Malachi 4:5.

Jesus confirmed John’s identity to His disciples: “And if you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah who was to come.” Matthew 11:14

John’s bold call to repentance and his role in baptizing Jesus were divine markers that the Messiah had come.
