Changes that Transform Life

Updated: Feb 21

In Christianity, the term change means the life long experiences and actions which transform someone's overall life. Change can occur immediately or gradually. God uses Change to do good things for His people, enabling them to efficiently serve Him and His creation.

Change is an adjustment to your position of service, level of operation and lifestyle characters. Through Change, one is able to efficiently and comfortably serve God.

God authors most of the changes we experience. He uses several ways of implement His changes in His people's Lives, including; His Word, where he directly speaks to you with instructions on what he wants you to do. Whenever His life changing instructions are adhered to, His change in your life will always happens.

He can also use life situations- both good and bad to effect his change for his people. God can also use people closer to you like friends and family, your workmates, your bosses at work or even community leaders to effect His change to you.

in Christianity, its believed that all changes are good because they are innitiated by God, God does not wish us anything wrong. Even when a particular change in life may look bad or even hard to deal with, actually it has good end goals which God is bringing to you through what may look as a hard way.

Every human being was created to experience Change. Its what moves us from one step to another. Most changes bring deliverance, that is why you should never fear change but rather welcome every kind of change you experience and pray about it at all times.

From the day one accepts Jesus Christ to be their own savior. you should expect to start experiencing both spiritual and physical  changes, brought to you by the holy spirit.

Types of Change in Christianity.

In Christianity, there are two major types of Change; Spiritual Change and Physical change.

  1. Spiritual Change.

Spiritual Change is a transformation of someone's inner person as may be reflected by actions and behaviors of the outer person.

Though both changes are initiated and enabled to happen by God, Spiritual changes is mainly the work of God in one's life. It starts with accepting Jesus to be your personal Savior, obeying His Word and principles which He referred to as “Following Him”, and then one is filled with the Holy spirit and Holy Fire, Mathew 3:11. Immediately, the Holy spirit will embark on the process of changing his Sanctuary or Temple, who is the person He is residing in. Finally, one is changed.

Biblical Example of Spiritual Change.

  1. The most popular example of Spiritual change in the Bible is Apostle Paul, when he interfaced with the Lord Jesus Christ on his way to Damascus. Saul who was Changed to Paul had been given authority to go and destroy the followers of Jesus Christ in Damascus, when he met the Lord Jesus Christ, immediately, Paul started experiencing numerous changes in his life. From an anti Christ person to a staunch follower of Jesus Christ, Paul continued to be changed into a great annointed servant of the Lord, lover of people and never did he ever be a killer like before. All changes in his life was facilited by the Holy spirit. Acts 9:1-9.

  2. The other main example of spiritual change is one which happened in the life of Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ. A Virginia Girl Mary, conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and gave birth to a Child who is our Lord Jesus Christ. Mathew 1:18-25.

NOTE: The above kind of changes is not common and are very miraculous. It requires a lot of faith in God to accept them in order for them to happen in your life. Like I told you, every change is good and saves life, you need to embrace change.

Physical Changes are Life experiences and actions that impact the physical life of a human being. Like spiritual Change, Physical Changes are directed, facilitated and enabled by God for His Glory through the transformation of His people.

Different from the spiritual changes which mainly occurs in one person's life, Physical Change can impact a person's life and other people around him, including their family, friends and community.

Physical Change may include Geographical and occupational changes such as; immigrating from one location to another, job change, acquiring a job, and job promotion.

Physical Change may be family centered, occurring in form of getting married, Child birth among others.

Physical changes may include Financial breakthrough, acquiring properties, business prosperity, owning companies among others.

Examples of Physical Changes in the Bible.

There are various incidences of physical changes that occurred in the Bible, I will pick out the most prominent ones below;

  1. God told Abraham to leave his Home and go to a foreign land in Canaan, where God promised to bless him financially. Abraham accepted God's innitiated change and he was ultimately blessed, even when this immigration change seemed hard to deal with, Genesis 12:1-5.

  2. Joseph, the son of Jacob had to be sold by his brothers to the Egyptians, live there as a House boy and eventually become a prisoner after narrow escape from being raped by his bosse's wife. All this happened in order for him to: save his family and the people of Egypt from famine and to be elevated into becoming a prime minister of egypt, Genesis 37:12-36.
