In Matthew 20:20 - 28, the mother of James and John approached Jesus with a request for her sons to sit at His right and left hand in His Kingdom. Jesus responded by revealing a foundational Kingdom truth:

“The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:28)

Greatness in the Kingdom of God is not measured by titles, positions, or applause, it is measured by service. Jesus Himself modeled servant leadership.
